Ivory Coast

The Ivory Coast are probably one of the most recognisable teams in the African Nations Cup due to the number of overseas based players that they have in their squad. However, despite having made 17 appearances in the Cup (which is the second highest out of all the qualifying teams), they have only won the African Nations Cup once – in 1992). The Ivory Coast qualified as Winners of Group E, finishing ahead of Burkina Faso, Malawi and Guinea. Interestingly, the Ivory Coast scored a whopping 19 goals in Qualifying, double every other team apart from Burkina Faso (who were also in Group E) who were the next highest scorers with 10 goals.
