Zambia and Tunisia fought out a draw in their first game in the 2010 African Nations Cup but failed to take advantage of Cameroons shock defeat to give either team a points advantage in the group stage.

Out of the two teams, Zambia made most of the running and were disappointed to have a last winner ruled out for offside.

Tunisia, as the favourites to win this game failed to get out of the starting blocks and Zambia pressured them into making mistakes, with Rainford Kalaba hitting the side netting early on.

Zambia did however take the lead in the 19th minute after Jacob Mulenga squared the ball back to James Chamanga whos shot trickled over the line to give a shock lead. Zambia continued to push and looked good value to increase their lead until from out of nowhere Tunisia equalised.

Youssef Msakni steamrollered down the left wing and cut inside, taking on and beating three players before squaring to Souheil Dhaoudadi who emphatically slammed the ball into the roof of the net.

In the second half Tunisia were much stronger and looked the more likely team to grab a winner, but Zambia managed to soak up the pressure and thought they have scored the winner when Mayuka thought he had scored the winner with his first touch, only to see the goal disallowed.
