Almiro Lobo (29) Razak Omotoyossi (pen 15)
Carlos Goncalves (54) Dario Khan (og 20)

Fantastically crazy goalkeeping by Benins Yoann Djidonou allowed the squirrels of Benin to squander a two goal lead and give Mozambique a share of the points in this second Group C match in the 2010 African Nations Cup.

Benin took a suprising two goal lead, firstly from a 14th minute penalty after the Mozambique ‘keeper Rafael Kapango tripped Razak Omotoyossi in the box, and then from an own goal in the 20th minute from Dario Khan after more good work by Omotoyossi.

With Benin 2-0 after 20 minutes, the result seemed cut and dried. However, this is the African Nations Cup, and as we have seen so far, absolutely anything can happen, and it did in the shape of the Yoann Djidonou Show.

Firstly, he flapped at a 29th minute corner allowing Lobo to head home, and then in the 54th minute he quite brilliantly ran out of his box towards the corner flag to clear a through ball into touch but only succeeded in knock the ball out of play about a yard in front of him. From the resulting quick throw-in, Djidonou was still racing back to his goal when Domingues crossed for Goncalves to slot the ball into the empty net.
