In an end-to-end encounter many people’s fancies to go all the way, Cameroon, just scraped through to the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals after holding Tunisia to a 2-2 draw in Lubango.
Armine Chermiti put Tunisia into the lead after just a minute with a clinical header, but the record scorer in this competition, Samuel Eto’o, leveled the score at the beginning of the second half.
Not long after it was disaster for Cameroon as defender Aurelien Chedjou’s own goal put Tunisia ahead again, but they’d barely finished celebrating when Landry N’Guemo fired in Cameroon’s second equalizer in the game to see them progress to the Qtr-finals.
The result saw Cameroon go through in second place, setting up what looks to be the game of the competition so far when they play holders Egypt for a place in the Semi-final.
